This guide explains how to troubleshoot loss of 240V power in your Fiat motorhome and how to isolate an appliance if the 240V system repeatedly trips.
Section 1: No 240V Power
- Check that the orange 240V lead is firmly connected to the motorhome’s external power inlet.
- Check the other end is securely connected to the powered-site outlet.
- Make sure the switch or circuit breaker on the campground power pole is turned ON.
- Locate the motorhome’s internal 240V circuit breakers.
- Check that the BATT. CHARGER and AIR CON breakers are switched on and have not tripped.
- Check the microwave display. A lit display is a quick indication that 240V power is reaching the motorhome.
Still No Power?
If there is still no 240V power, test the campground supply using a suitable 240V appliance as demonstrated in the video.
If the appliance does not work directly from the campground power supply, the issue may be with the site outlet or external power source. Contact campground staff or try another powered outlet where possible.
If the campground supply works correctly but the motorhome still has no power, follow the next steps.
Section 2: Power Keeps Tripping
If the 240V breaker continues to trip, an appliance may be causing the fault.
- Disconnect the motorhome from external 240V power.
- Switch off or unplug the accessible 240V appliances inside the vehicle.
- Check the power points and appliances throughout the motorhome as shown in the video
- The following items may be slightly different in your vehicle as shown in the video:
- Roof air conditioner
- Electric stove top
- Battery charger
- Reconnect the external 240V supply and reset the circuit breakers.
- Turn the appliances back on one at a time.
- After each appliance is turned on, check whether the breaker trips again.
If the breaker trips immediately after a particular appliance is switched on, leave that appliance switched off and contact Cruisin’ for further assistance.
Important Safety Information
Do not open electrical equipment, dismantle power points, or attempt to repair 240V wiring yourself.
If you notice sparks, a burning smell, melted plugs, damaged cables, or water around electrical equipment, disconnect the 240V supply if it is safe to do so and contact Cruisin’ immediately.
