This guide explains how to reset the black CBE 12V control panel if it has frozen, become unresponsive, or gone blank.
Before completing a reset
The panel may become unresponsive because:
- The house battery has dropped below 12V.
- The control panel has developed a temporary error.
Before resetting the panel, connect the motorhome to 240V power and allow the house battery to charge. If the panel still does not respond, complete the reset below.
How to reset the 12V panel
- Switch the 12V panel off using the green power button if it is still responsive.
- Carefully pull the control panel forward from the wall.
- Support the panel so there is no strain on the wiring behind it.
- Locate the electrical connectors on the rear of the panel.
- Disconnect the panel wiring plugs as shown in the video.
- Leave the panel disconnected for at least 15 minutes to allow it to fully power down.
- Reconnect the plugs firmly into their original positions.
- Carefully place the panel back into the wall opening.
- Press the green power button to switch the panel back on.
- Check that the display has restarted and the normal battery/water information is visible.
Important
Do not pull on the wiring itself. Hold the connector when unplugging or reconnecting it.
