If your 12V water pump isn’t operating or you're not getting any water flow in your motorhome, don’t worry—we’ve got a simple troubleshooting guide to help you fix the issue quickly. Please follow the steps below and take clear photos of each step. These will be helpful if you need to contact our support team. We’ve also included a video and PDF guide to assist you further.
Step 1: Check the Control Panel
Make sure both the 12V button and Water Pump button on your control panel are switched ON. These must be activated for the pump to function.
Step 2: Test for Water Flow
Turn on a tap inside the motorhome. If the pump is working, you should get a steady stream of water. If there’s no water flow, continue to the next steps.
Step 3: Check the Fuse for the Water Pump
- Locate the fuse panel:
- Usually under the seat cushion in the rear dinette area, closest to the stove.
- In some vehicles, it may be on the front panel underneath the seat.
- Find the fuse marked with a tap icon (
). If this fuse is lit up, it likely needs replacing.
- Pull out the fuse and visually inspect it:
- If the metal piece inside is detached or broken, it means the fuse is blown.
- Replace with a fuse of the same type and rating.
Step 4: Inspect the Water Pump Itself
- Locate the pump:
- Under the cushion of the opposite bench seat, beneath a removable wooden panel.
- Check the wiring:
- Ensure all wires are firmly connected.
- Look for any damaged or frayed cords.
- Inspect the pump:
- If the bottom of the pump feels hot, it may be seized and could require replacement.
Step 5: Prevent Future Issues
- Always switch off the Water Pump button on your control panel when not in use.
- Leaving it on unnecessarily can cause the pump to overheat and fail.
