This guide explains the basic checks to complete if the Thetford N4175A 3-way fridge displays Error Code 10.
How 240V operation works
The fridge can operate on 240V only when the motorhome is connected to a suitable 15AMP powered campsite outlet.
If you are free camping and not connected to external 240V power, the fridge cannot operate on the 240V setting. Use LPG instead, Or 12V if driving
Before troubleshooting Error Code 10
Make sure the orange 240V lead is firmly connected to the motorhome.
Confirm the other end is securely connected to the campsite power outlet.
Check that the campsite power outlet and breaker are switched on.
Check the motorhome's internal 240V circuit breakers and make sure they have not tripped.
Confirm other 240V appliances or power points in the motorhome are operating.
Testing the campsite power supply
If you are unsure whether the campsite outlet is supplying power, the video demonstrates using a 240V appliance such as the kettle to test the supply.
If the appliance does not operate directly from the campsite supply, check the power outlet, circuit breaker, or speak with the campground staff.
If other 240V appliances are working but the fridge continues to display Error Code 10, follow the additional checks demonstrated in the attached video.
Reset the fridge
Once 240V power has been confirmed:
Switch the fridge off by holding the button in for 10 second.
Wait briefly.
Switch the fridge back on.
Leave it in Auto Mode where possible.
Allow the fridge time to recognise the 240V supply.
Important
The fridge may take up to 8 hours to cool on its initial cycle.
For best performance:
Do not overload the fridge.
Allow space for cold air to circulate.
Park the motorhome on a level surface while operating the fridge.
