This guide explains the basic checks to complete if the Thetford N4175A 3-way fridge displays Error Code 6.
How 12V fridge operation works
The fridge will only operate on 12V while the vehicle engine is running.
12V mode is designed to maintain the temperature of an already cold fridge while driving. It is not designed to cool a warm fridge.
Before travelling, cool the fridge using one of the below modes for 8 hours:
- 240V power when connected to a powered site, or
- LPG when parked and not connected to 240V.
