LDV Rover - Cruise Control Overview + Troubleshooting Guide

This article explains how to use cruise control in the LDV Rover and what to check if it is not working correctly.



Cruise control buttons are located on the left-hand side of the steering wheel. Please watch the video linked below and proceed with the following steps.


Cruise control buttons


The main cruise control buttons shown in the video are:

  1. Cruise control button — turns cruise control on or off.

  2. SET- — sets the current driving speed and can reduce the set speed.

  3. RES+ — resets cruise control and can increase the set speed.

  4. Vehicle distance button — adjusts the following distance when adaptive cruise control is active.

  5. Cancel button — cancels cruise control without switching the whole system off.


How to use cruise control

  1. Drive above 60 km/h.

  2. Press the cruise control button on the steering wheel.

  3. Once you are travelling at the speed you want, press SET-.

  4. Use RES+ to increase the set speed.

  5. Use SET- to reduce the set speed.

  6. Press the brake pedal or the cancel button to disengage cruise control.

  7. Press the cruise control button again to turn the system off.


Things to note

Cruise control will only function when driving over 60 km/h.

Cruise control may not function correctly in heavy rain, dusty environments, or when the vehicle sensors are dirty.


Troubleshooting


Cruise control will not activate

Make sure the vehicle is travelling over 60 km/h, then press the cruise control button and select SET-.


Cruise control turns off or will not stay active

Check that you are not braking, driving too slowly, or travelling in unsuitable conditions such as heavy rain or dust.


Cruise control is unavailable or not detecting correctly

Clean the front sensor area near the LDV badge/front grille and wipe the upper windscreen area where the camera/sensor is located.
