This article explains how to reset the airbag sensor circuit in the LDV Rover if an airbag warning light appears on the dashboard. Please view the attached video linked below and follow these instructions carefully.
Important safety information
Only complete this reset while the vehicle is parked safely, switched off, and the handbrake is applied.
Do not cut, pull, or modify any wiring. Only disconnect and reconnect the plug shown. If you are unsure, stop and contact Cruisin’ On Road Care.
Step 1: Switch off the vehicle
Park the vehicle safely.
Apply the handbrake.
Turn the ignition off.
Remove the key from the ignition. (Or push the button on push start vehicles)
Step 2: Disconnect the battery
Locate the vehicle battery under the front seat area.
Disconnect the battery using the battery kill switch terminal shown in the video.
Leave the battery disconnected for 30 minutes to allow the vehicle’s electrical system to reset.
Step 3: Disconnect the airbag sensor plug
Locate the yellow airbag sensor plug underneath the seat.
Carefully release the plug.
Leave the airbag plug disconnected for 15 minutes to allow the airbag circuit to reset.
Step 4: Reconnect everything
Reconnect the yellow airbag sensor plug securely.
Make sure the plug clicks back into place.
Reconnect the vehicle battery terminal.
Check that the battery connection is secure.
Step 5: Check the dashboard
Turn the ignition back on.
Check the dashboard warning lights.
If the airbag warning light has cleared, the reset is complete.
If the warning light remains on
