This article explains the what to check if the LDV Rover gas cooktop will not ignite.
Troubleshooting steps
Check that the Fridge/Cooktop switch on the internal control panel is switched on.
Confirm the gas bottle has gas remaining.
Make sure the valve on top of the gas bottle is fully open.
Check that the gas regulator hose is connected securely to the bottle.
If required, turn the bottle off, carefully disconnect the regulator, reconnect it securely, and slowly reopen the bottle valve.
Check that the both of the yellow gas isolation valves underneath the vehicle are open. (The handle should run in line with the gas pipe).
At the cooktop, push the selected burner knob inward and turn it to the ignition position.
Keep the knob held in while pressing the ignition button.
Once the burner lights, continue holding the knob in for approximately 5 seconds before releasing it.
If the gas lines have recently been disconnected or the bottle has been changed, repeat the process a few times to allow air to clear from the gas line.
If the stove clicks but does not light
Check that the burner cap is sitting correctly and that the ignition pin is clean and dry.
Do not continue attempting ignition if gas has been flowing for an extended period. Turn the burner off, ventilate the vehicle, and wait before trying again.
