If your Rover motorhome won’t start, it may be due to the battery isolation switch being turned off. This switch is a safety feature and is easily reset by following the steps below.
Step 1: Locate the Battery Isolation Switch
The battery isolation switch is a grey rotary knob located under the driver’s seat.

Step 2: Reset the Switch
- Rotate the grey knob approximately 90 degrees until you feel it click into place.
- Wait about 20 seconds to allow the system to reset.
- Once re-engaged, ensure:
- The vehicle is in Park (P)
- Your foot is on the brake
- Attempt to start the engine again.
Still Not Starting?
If the van still doesn’t start:
- Double-check the battery isolation switch position.
- Confirm you're pressing the brake pedal firmly while starting.
