Toilet Flush Keeps Running – How to Fix It

If your toilet flush keeps running without stopping, it’s likely due to a moisture-related fault with the flush button or control board. This issue can usually be resolved with a quick reset.

Step-by-Step Video Guide

We've created a video to guide you through accessing and cleaning the toilet flush control board:

Instructions to Stop the Running Flush

  1. Access the Flush Control Board
    • Open the toilet cassette access panel (as shown in the video).
    • Locate the flush button control board underneath the button housing.
  2. Disconnect the Board
    • Carefully unplug the board to stop the electrical flow to the flush mechanism.
  3. Clean the Board
    • Wipe the board gently using a clean, dry cloth to remove any moisture or condensation.
  4. Wait a Few Minutes
    • Allow the board to dry before reconnecting it.
  5. Reconnect and Test
    • Plug the board back in.
    • If the flush stops running, the issue has been resolved.

Temporary Workaround (If Issue Persists)

If the flush continues to run after trying the above steps:

  • Use the shower hose in the bathroom as a temporary flush solution.
  • The onboard water supply will still function, and this workaround is perfectly safe for short-term use.
