Go-cheap 4 Berth Hitop - Dometic 12 Volt Fridge User Guide

If your Dometic fridge is not turning on or cooling correctly, follow the steps below to ensure it is set up and operating properly.


Step 1: Turn On the 12V Power Supply

  1. Locate the 12V control panel at the rear of the vehicle.

  2. Ensure the white switch next to the panel is turned ON.

  3. Turn ON the fridge switch on the control panel itself.


Step 2: Power On the Fridge from the Internal Control Panel

  1. Open the fridge door.

  2. Locate the secondary control panel inside the fridge at the top left.

  3. Press and hold the power button until the control panel lights up.


Step 3: Set the Temperature

  1. Press the temperature button to adjust the fridge temperature to your desired setting.


Optional: Activate Advanced Cooling Mode

  1. To activate Advanced Cooling Mode, press and hold the temperature button for 5 seconds.

  2. The largest dot will light up to confirm activation.

  3. ⚠️ Please note: This mode uses a significant amount of battery power and should only be used when necessary.


Troubleshooting Red Warning Light

  1. If a red light appears:

  2. Turn the fridge completely off.

  3. Follow the above steps in reverse order.

  4. Turn the fridge back on and try again.


If the Fridge Is Still Not Working

Please check the following:

  1. Ensure the battery voltage is above 12V.

  2. Make sure the vehicle is parked on level ground – the fridge will not operate correctly on a slope.

  3. In hot weather, cooling performance may be reduced. Adding ice inside the fridge can help maintain temperature.

  4. For best performance, plug the vehicle into a powered campsite every second night to allow the fridge to run correctly.
