1. Turn On the System
Press the cruise control button marked with a car and speedometer icon.
The instrument cluster will display “Speed control ready”, indicating the system is activated.
2. Set Your Desired Speed
Once you're cruising at your preferred speed on a safe, open road:
- Press “SET +” to set and increase your speed, or
- Press “SET –” to set and decrease it.
The system will maintain that speed without you needing to hold the accelerator.
3. Cancel or Deactivate Cruise Control
- Press the “CANC” button, or
- Lightly tap the brake pedal.
Either action immediately disengages cruise control, returning you to manual speed control.
4. Use the Speed Limiter
Press the “LIM” button to activate a maximum speed limit—the vehicle won't exceed that speed, even if you manually accelerate.
To disable it, press “LIM” again.
Important Safety & Best Practices
Cruise control is a convenient aid, not a replacement for driver awareness. You must always:
- Stay alert and keep your attention on the road
- Only use cruise control on straight, open highways, not in heavy traffic, winding roads, or bad weather
- Maintain a safe following distance;
- Keep one foot hovering near the brake, ready to intervene
- Be prepared to deactivate it in wet, icy, or slippery conditions to avoid delayed response time
- Understand that manual override (brake pedal or cancel button).
