If your Fiat Ducato displays an engine light or oil life warning, the issue could be that your oil life has reached 0 km. This guide walks you through the steps to re-prime and reset the oil life system — no tools required. Please view the attached PDF guide and Video Tutorial.
Step-by-Step Oil Life Reset Guide
Step 1: Start the Vehicle in Accessories Mode
Insert the key or press the push-start button (depending on your model) to enter accessories mode only.
? Important: Do not press the brake or accelerator pedals when entering this mode.
Step 2: Navigate to the Oil Life Tab
Use the left and right arrow buttons on your steering wheel to scroll through the dash menu until you reach Vehicle Info.
Then, use the up and down arrows to cycle through the options until you find the Oil Life tab.
Step 3: Check If Oil Life Is Near 0 km
If your oil life is low or reads "0 km", proceed with the reset steps below.
Step 4: Perform the Reset Sequence
Press and hold your foot firmly on the accelerator pedal.
With your other foot, begin pumping the brake pedal steadily — approximately 8 to 10 times — until the pedal becomes extremely tight.
Step 5: Confirm the Reset
Once the brake becomes tight, release both pedals and check the dashboard.
You should now see that your oil life has been reset.
