If your hot water system isn’t heating up while camping or parked at a powered site, this guide will help you quickly troubleshoot and get back to comfort. These steps make it easier to fix common issues. We have also provided a PDF guide and Video tutorial for your convenience
Step 1: Choose Your Power Source
Your hot water system runs on two power options:
- 240V mains power – when you’re plugged into a campsite outlet
- LPG gas – when you’re free camping without power
Choose the one that suits your setup, and follow the relevant instructions below.
Step 2: Running the System on 240V Power
- Plug your vehicle into a 15AMP campsite power source.
- Once connected, the water will heat automatically within 20–25 minutes.
Don’t forget: You still need to activate the correct switches inside (see Step 4).
Step 3: Running the System on LPG Gas
- Go to the rear driver’s side of your motorhome to locate the gas bottles.
- Ensure the top selector switch is pointing at the bottle you want to use.
- Open the selected gas bottle fully—partial opening can cause failure.
- Head inside and continue with the steps below.
Step 4: Switch on the Right Controls
There are two types of control panels. Identify which one you have:
- Black Panel: Turn on both the 12V and Tap buttons.
- White Panel: Turn on the Tap button only.
This step is required for both 240V and gas operation.
Step 5: Set the Thermostat
At the kitchen sink, locate the thermostat switch and:
- Push it up to 60°C to begin heating on gas.
- Heating should complete in around 30 minutes.
Step 6: Troubleshooting Errors
- If you see a red light stay lit, it means something went wrong.
- Check that:
- The gas bottle is fully open.
- The selector switch is pointing to the correct bottle.
- The control panel switches are correctly activated.
- The thermostat is set to 60°C.
Then retry the process.
