Please read first
Before attempting to change a tyre, we strongly recommend that you first:
Watch the instructional video, and
Review the attached PDF tyre-changing guide
These resources visually demonstrate the correct jacking points, tool setup, and safety steps, and should always be reviewed before proceeding.
What You’ll Need
All required tools are supplied with the vehicle:
Jack
Jack handle poles
Wheel brace / lug nut tool
Tool location:
The jack and tool pouch are located just inside the rear sliding door of the vehicle.
Step-by-Step Tyre Changing Instructions
1. Prepare the Vehicle
Park on a flat, stable surface
Apply the handbrake
Turn on hazard lights
2. Loosen Wheel Nuts
Using the lug nut tool, slightly loosen the wheel nuts on the damaged tyre before lifting the vehicle.
This prevents the wheel from spinning once it is off the ground.
3. Set Up the Jack
Insert both jack poles together to form the handle
Attach the handle to the jack using the hooked end
Position the jack correctly before lifting
Important:
Only use the designated reinforced jacking points:
Specific points are provided for front and rear
Never jack the vehicle from any other surface
4. Raise the Vehicle
Slowly jack the vehicle until the damaged tyre is clear of the ground.
5. Lower the Spare Tyre
Open the rear door
Locate the access hole in the floor
Insert the tool and rotate counter-clockwise to lower the spare tyre cage
Ensure the cage is fully lowered before removing the spare
6. Fit the Spare Tyre
Remove the damaged tyre
Fit the spare tyre onto the wheel hub
Hand-tighten the wheel nuts
7. Lower and Secure
Carefully lower the vehicle back to the ground
Fully tighten all wheel nuts using the wheel brace
Double-check that the wheel is secure before driving
8. Stow the Damaged Tyre
Place the damaged tyre into the spare tyre cage
Wind it fully back up to its original position under the vehicle
After Changing the Tyre
Report any tyre damage immediately
This allows us to organise a replacement spare in case of further incidents
