How to Stop the Battery Charger Alarm Beeping

If you hear a persistent beeping from your vehicle's battery charger, it can usually be resolved with a simple reset. This guide will walk you through the steps required to stop the alarm safely and effectively. We have also attached a pdf guide and a Video tutorial for your convenience

Tools Required

  1. Vehicle key (to remove plastic panel screws)


Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Locate the Battery Box

  1. Walk to the rear of the vehicle.

  2. Find the cushion on your right, next to the kitchen bench.

  3. Remove this cushion to expose the battery box.


2. Find the Wiring Clip

  1. Using your hands, follow the cable that runs from the black battery charger box.

  2. Locate the wiring clip along this cable.

  3. Undo the clip and leave it disconnected for 10 minutes.

  4. After 10 minutes, plug the wiring clip back in. You alarm should now have stopped.


If this battery charger is missing from here your vehicle may have a slightly different set up and you will need to disconnect the vehicle battery


3. Remove the Plastic Panel

  1. Use your vehicle key to turn the plastic screws on the panel and remove it.

  2. Slide out the panel carefully. If it feels stuck:

  3. Wiggle the screws slightly as they might still be catching.

  4. Note that the last fastener can be turned by hand.

 

4.  Disconnect the Battery

  1. Once the battery is exposed, locate the neutral terminal.

  2. Press and hold the grey button on the black plastic connector.

  3. This will release the neutral terminal.

  4. Leave it disconnected for 10 minutes, then reconnect it.


Final Check

After completing the steps:

  1. The beeping alarm from the battery charger should now have stopped.
