Grab Handle Light Won’t Turn Off? Here’s What to Do

If the illuminated grab handle light at the door remains on and can't be turned off using the switch, there's a quick and safe way to fix it yourself by removing a dedicated fuse.

Follow the guide below to resolve the issue in just a few steps.

A PDF version of the video walkthrough will also be made available for your convenience.

What You’ll Need

  1. No tools are required — just easy access to the fuse panel.

  2. A flashlight or your phone torch may help in dim lighting.

Step 1: Locate the Rear Fuse Panel

  1. Head to the rear of the vehicle, typically near or underneath the rear seating/bed area.

  2. Look for a black plastic fuse panel cover.

Tip: This panel may be labelled or secured with light clips for easy access.

Step 2: Identify the 5A Fuse

  1. Inside the panel, locate the 5A fuse specifically linked to the grab handle light.

  2. The fuse is often labelled and may be color-coded orange or red depending on brand.

  3. Refer to the video for visual confirmation of the correct fuse.

Step 3: Remove the 5A Fuse

  1. Gently pull the 5A fuse out of its slot.

  2. This will disconnect power to the grab handle light, turning it off immediately.

It’s perfectly safe to operate the motorhome without this fuse until your return.
