If the 12V control panel in your motorhome has frozen or become unresponsive, don’t worry—this can often be resolved with a quick manual reset. Please follow the steps below carefully.
Step 1: Remove the Control Panel from the Wall
The 12V control panel is mounted flush into the interior wall. To reset it:
- Gently remove the panel from the wall—this may involve carefully prying it out or unscrewing it depending on your model.
- Be cautious not to damage the surrounding trim or wiring.
A short video and PDF version of the video has been provided to walk you through this step
Step 2: Disconnect the Panel
Once the panel is out of the wall:
- Locate the connector cable behind the unit.
- Carefully unplug the panel to fully power it down.
Step 3: Wait 15 Minutes
Leave the panel disconnected for at least 15 minutes. This pause allows the system to fully discharge and reset internally.
Step 4: Reconnect and Replace
- After 15 minutes, plug the panel back in.
- Gently place the panel back into the wall and ensure it's secure.
Once powered back on, the panel should be responsive and functioning correctly again.
